By this post we will see that how we
can print the comments in the cells of a worksheet.
Whenever we print a worksheet that
contains cell comments, by default, the comments don't print. But yes there is
a way we can print them all……. J
In fact, Excel gives us the option of printing cell comments
where they are on the worksheet itself or we can print them all together in one
place at the end of the sheet.
So let’s see these two options one by one:
Option 1: Print Comments as They Are
Displayed in The Worksheet
To print cell comments as they are displayed on the worksheet, we will first
need to unhide them (Only the comments
that are displayed will be printed). We can
unhide a comment by
right-clicking the cell containing a comment and selecting
Show/Hide
Comments.
To unhide all the comments on a
worksheet, from the Review tab, click Show/Hide All
Comments in the Comments group. There may be some overlapping of
comments, so we may need to rearrange some before you print.
Now from the File tab click Print or
Ctrl+P
Now click on Page Setup
In the Page setup dialog box go to
Sheet tab à from comments : drop down choose à
As displayed on sheet
Option 2: Print Comments at the End of the Sheet
If you choose the 'end of sheet' option, when you print your worksheet, extra
pages will print after your report containing all of the worksheet's
comments.
Follow
all the above steps except choosing “As displayed on sheet” from Comments drop
down, choose “At end of sheet”
Cell
comments printed at the end of the sheet, just list all of the comments and
their cell references.
If you have any question any query just post it into the comment section...
